Candies with Fruit Sauce filling

Ingredients

(for 10/12 candies); sweet short pastry; Lazzaris fruit sauces in various flavours as desired; icing sugar; oil as required

Preparation

Cut out 10/12 rectangles from the short pastry and place a teaspoonful of fruit sauce in the centre of each rectangle. Roll them up and pinch the edges to seal and form the candies. Fry the candies in deep boiling oil and serve dusted with icing sugar. Preparation of the “short pastry” or “rough puff pastry”. Put 70g common wheat flour “00” in a bowl and mix with a pinch of salt and a teaspoonful of icing sugar, add 40g softened butter, 2 spoonfuls of water (1/2dl) and mix.
